Up&Coming and Just a few things...

I have many ideas for blog posts- but my reading week is over which means
school work will most likely take priority numero uno.
But look out for up and coming posts such as:
  • An in-depth post about mascara and tips to get great eyelashes
  • Tips on how to shop in a drugstore effectively and my favourite items from different drugstore brands
  • More nail polish (OPI and Essie) swatches and reviews
  • Reviews in general on beauty/makeup products both drugstore and high-end
  • The start of the look-book which will be a collection of makeup looks
  • Tutorials?
So don't go anywhere- I promise they're coming.

Just a few things...
  • Had a timmy's date with the girls (my fabulous friends) today and it was very nice :)
  • Picked up a new concealer and an Essie nail polish to review the colour and brand. I have never even seen Essie in a Shoppers before but I have heard very good things.
  • I am so not ready to go back to school after having a week off. I really needed it but school is just killing me lately. Deadlines are not jive. Yes, not JIVE.
  • Work tomorrow means my last day to sleep in is wasted... psh.
  • If it weren't for my dog- I could never be home alone. I'm just not as resourceful as Macaulay Culkin. Oh well, I live in Scarborough, it's not like toy cars and paint cans would save me anyway.
Thanks for reading!

Nail Polish of the Moment + Great deal!

Oh it's so late, but I just needed to get this up before I crashed tonight.
My absolute favourite nail polish right now is "Special Request"  from Sephora by OPI.

Gorgeous coral-orange colour.
It's really more of a summer look but I just couldn't wait to wear it!
Not to mention that this colour plus several others are on sale right now at Sephora.com
The sale is also available in Sephora stores but the selection of colours is much smaller.
Regularly, a bottle of Sephora by OPI nail polish will run you about $12 plus tax in Canada.
But they are half price for a limited  time. :)
The way I see it, if you use nail polish it makes sense to stock up when there's a great sale. Nail polish is one of those rare things in the beauty world that doesn't usually succumb to time or expire.
Go get yours while they're still available!
It comes up as more orangey in the pictures
but the true colour is closer to coral

After a week of wearing it with no top coat, I was pleased to see minimal chipping. It takes two coats to get the colour in the bottle- which is very good in my opinion.
OPI is my favourite brand because the formula makes putting on nail polish just that much easier.

Happy shopping,

A little about me...

I started this blog because, well, I love makeup.
You know how I know that?
I spend ungodly amounts of time and money on it. It consumes almost all my free time.
Not to mention that whenever I'm stressed, the first thing I do is go shopping.
I think my boyfriend is a little jealous.

I figured I should put all that time and effort
(not blood and sweat- all my hard work would run)
and create a blog to share my experience.
There will be reviews. Possibly tutorials if I ever get a decent camcorder and
maybe hauls. I will probably end up putting a lot of personal non-beauty related
junk on here- feel free to skip that if you're not interested.

Other than my makeup, I DO have a life, I promise.
I'm currently a  second year Journalism student at Ryerson University.
I have a part-time job as a cashier that pays for my addiction.
Like they say, there's no such thing as a free lunch.
Except when I'm at work because it's a fast food joint.

I live at home (with my parents, brother, 13, and sister, 21).
I cannot move out because I use OSAP (government funding)
to pay for school and can't afford it.
(I think I'd prefer to live at home anyway- I'm a homebody)
So, I use any money left over at the end of the month after bills
and shelling out for bus fare to buy a little joy at MAC or Sephora.
Or even Shoppers.
Keep reading and follow for more. Will begin writing all those things mentioned above.
Thanks,
Tash <3
